Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest Jonny Hayes image that has gone viral on social media.
A Celtic-related page called ‘CeltsAreHere’ recently posted an image of Neil Lennon hugging Jonny Hayes. The image had the caption: ‘I’d give anything to see Neil Lennon sub Jonny Hayes on one more time.’
Many Celtic fans agreed with this tweet. In the wake of the ongoing pandemic, they made their desperation to see Celtic play clear. Some also said that Hayes should actually be starting games. One said that he should be gone soon.

This season, Hayes has made 26 appearances in all competitions with 14 of them coming in the Premiership already. He has scored one goal in all competitions and that came in the Old Firm derby earlier in the season.
What do we think?
As per Whoscored, Hayes has made nine appearances from the bench in the Premiership this season. In the Europa League, he did that three times. In the Scottish Cup, he has done that on two occasions.
This shows that many Celtic fans are right that Hayes is used as a bench player a lot of times. But their comments show that they have varying opinions about the versatile player. Considering Celtic have two left-backs in Greg Taylor and Boli Bolingoli, letting Hayes leave won’t be a bad idea.
