Some Celtic fans have been left talking by the latest video involving John Hartson playing against Liverpool that has gone viral recently.
A Hoops-related page called Celtic1967.com recently posted a video that had Hartson helping the Hoops send Liverpool ‘crashing’ out of the UEFA Cup in 2003. Hartson had scored an 82nd-minute screamer from outside the box at Anfield to make sure that Celtic won the tie 3-1 on aggregate and knock the Reds out.
Was Hartson an underrated player at Celtic?
Yes, he never got the credit
I don't think so
When Celtic1967.com posted this video on Twitter, it left many Hoops fans raving. They could only laud the goal and the game.
That ball is still travelling ?

I will never forget the joy this goal brought me. I can still picture the exact moment the ball left the big man’s boot, where I was, what I was doing& how I cheered. We did it. We beat them… and all of the pompous English media.
What a celebration we had. What a night. ?

Hartson had joined Celtic in the summer of 2001 from English club Coventry. He had stayed at Parkhead for five years and left for West Brom in the summer of 2006.
What do we think?
As per Transfermarkt, Hartson had contributed to six goals in the 2002-03 UEFA Cup campaign while playing 11 games. He had missed out on playing in the final, but his goal contributions show that he was crucial to taking the Hoops to the final, where they lost to Porto in extra time.
The memory of that goal against Liverpool was special, considering how far in the tournament it had taken Celtic.
