Some Celtic fans have been debating about the best players that their side has played against over the last few years.
The Premiership was recently suspended temporarily due to the ongoing pandemic. Celtic were due to take part in an Old Firm derby, but the suspension made sure that the game didn’t happen on Sunday.
A Hoops-related page recently sent out a post asking fans about who is the best opposition player that Celtic have come up against at home. Many fans felt that Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot is the best player they have seen play against them during his time at Paris Saint-Germain.
Was Rabiot's performance the best you've seen against Celtic?
Absolutely
I've seen many better
Rabiot and Veratti for PSG were ridiculous, and Mbappe was absolutely frightening

Midfield of Motta, Verrati and Rabiot tore us apart in the 5-0 game. Played some brilliant football that night

Rabiot for PSG was unreal. Surprised he hasn’t kicked on in the last few years

Celtic faced Paris Saint-Germain twice in the 2017/18 Champions League group stages. The game at Parkhead had ended 5-0, with Edinson Cavani grabbing a brace, with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar also getting on the scoresheet, as did Mikael Lustig with an own-goal.
PSG won the game in Paris by a 7-1 margin, with Cavani grabbing a brace once again on the night.
What do we think?
Celtic fans’ praise of Rabiot’s performance may come as something of a surprise to an outsider, as the Frenchman only played an hour when PSG picked off the Bhoys at Celtic Park in September 2017. According to WhoScored, the Frenchman notched an assist as well as one key pass along with a match rating of 7.63/10. With the Parisian giants three goals up at half time, perhaps his early withdrawal was no surprise – but he clearly left his mark on the Celtic supporters.
