Some Celtic fans have been slating referee Willie Collum for his officiating in the club’s recent Premiership game.
The Hoops were held to a 2-2 draw by Livingston as a late Tom Rogic goal handed them a point on Wednesday. They’ve now extended their lead at the top of the table to as many as 13 points, thanks to results elsewhere.
But the game left many Hoops fans slating referee Collum, who brandished a total of four yellow cards during the game.
Did Willie Collum want Celtic to lose against Livingston?
Yes, he was horrendous
Nothing like that
The Celtic faithful made their opinions known about the referee, who took slack from fans for apparently blowing the half-time whistle seconds before the 45 minutes were up.
@ScottishFA can you advise how many minutes are played in a half of football?
Can you also tell your dreadful referee willie collum #livcel— LiamG (@parko1967) March 4, 2020

A half of football with two goals scored in it, countless throw-ins and fk’s, and Willie Collum blows for half time at 44 mins 56 seconds. Fascinating. pic.twitter.com/EUh0nTrVfz

Collum has refereed a total of 36 games in all competitions this season, including one in the Champions League. As for the Premiership, he has officiated a total of 15 games and has brandished 41 yellow cards during this time.
What do we think?
As per Transfermarkt, Collum has refereed 68 Celtic games and that is his highest tally for a single Scottish club. During this time, the Hoops have won 51 games, losing just 10 of them so far. It could be an indicator that the 41-year-old doesn’t really have any bias against Celtic and whatever fans saw was merely a coincidence.
