Some Celtic fans have been left to hail the latest Twitter post that their former player Moussa Dembele sent out recently.
Currently at Lyon, Dembele scored a brace for the French side in their 2-0 win over St. Etienne in Ligue 1. His first goal came in the first-half, with the second coming through a penalty in stoppage-time for Rudi Garcia’s men.
Will Moussa Dembele ever return to Celtic?
Never say never
That chapter is closed
After the game, Dembele retweet a tweet from fellow Lyon teammate Memphis Depay and many Celtic fans flocked to that post. They were hailing the Frenchman for his abilities.

Dembele had joined the Parkhead-based side in the summer of 2016 from Fulham, who were paid a developmental fee as the Frenchman’s deal at Craven Cottage had run out at that point. Dembele had penned a four-year deal with the Hoops.
After scoring 51 goals in just 94 games for the Hoops, Dembele left the club to join Lyon in the summer of 2018 for a fee of £19.7 million.
What do we think?
It might be wishful thinking from Celtic fans, when it comes to asking Dembele to come back. The Frenchman has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks and that points to how he might be moving to a powerhouse club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
