The Celtic Twitter account was recently holding a PES 2020 session and it had seen the Hoops take on St. Johnstone in the game. During the game, the club’s account had relayed a video of Griffiths scoring in the game. The striker reposted this himself, making fun of the fact that he had scored with the right foot.

Under Rodgers, against which club did Celtic play their first Premiership game?

So far this season, Griffiths has made 31 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. 21 of them have come in the Premiership, where he has scored nine goals and has four assists to his name.

2020 has been a good year for the striker. It has seen Griffiths score seven league goals and pick up three assists. He recently racked up a hat-trick for the club against St. Mirren, helping Celtic to a 5-0 win.

What do we think?

While the goal on PES 2020 won’t count in Griffiths’ tally for the season, it was something that got fans talking. The Scottish football suspension has seen fans live without football and getting fans to talk about a Celtic win on PES 2020 isn’t a bad idea. The goal might have also reminded Celtic fans of how effective a goalscorer Griffiths can be.
