Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have aired their disapproval with a reported link to Barnsley CEO Dane Murphy.
According to Steven Goff of the Washington Post, the Old Gold are considering the American as a candidate for their vacant sporting director role (via Talking Wolves), which fans were not happy with.

Should Wolves be looking higher than the Championship for Kevin Thelwell's replacement?Yes, should be aiming higherNo, don't see why we should |
The vacancy at Molineux arose after former sporting director Kevin Thelwell departed the Old Gold to join MLS outfit New York Red Bulls (as per Wolves).
However, despite Barnsley’s 33-year-old having held positions with Real Salt Lake and D.C. United before his role with the Championship side (via Steven Goff), fans were not interested.

What do we think?
Having been appointed as the CEO of Barnsley in the summer of last year (per Yorkshire Post) it would appear that the consensus amongst Wolves supporters on this one is conclusive.
As can be seen in the thread of Talking Wolves’ tweet, a number of Tykes fans are hoping that the rumour was true, which is also a very telling sign of the feeling towards Murphy.
