Some Leicester City fans have been drooling over footage of ex-Foxes attacker Matty Fryatt which recently surfaced on social media. 

Fryatt played a total of 185 games for Leicester City from the 2005/06 campaign until the 2010/11 season, scoring 60 goals and making 13 assists for the Foxes in that time. Additionally, Fryatt notably netted the “fastest goal ever scored by a Foxes player”, as reported by the BBC, when he scored just nine seconds into Leicester’s 2-1 loss to Preston North End in April 2006.

Fryatt, now 34-years-old, retired from professional football in February 2018. The latter stage of the former Leicester attacker’s career was plagued by an Achilles tendon injury that saw him miss a significant amount of game time. Despite that, Fryatt may have left a positive impression on many Foxes supporters. The former Leicester man conducted an interview with the club’s official website following his retirement in which he discusses what the club’s website describes as his “eventful” Leicester City career.

Considering his impressive goalscoring record at the club, it may be understandable why some Leicester fans have been sharing their appreciation for Fryatt in response to this footage which has recently surfaced on social media featuring one of his classic Leicester City goals.
