Supporters of West Ham United have been reacting to quotes from Andriy Yarmolenko which were shared on social media.
In an interview with Ukrinform, the Ukrainian winger aired his desire to stay with the Hammers and that he feels the fans’ support (via West Ham News), which some supporters were pleased about.
Yarmolenko on his future: “I feel fine at West Ham, I feel the fans support. I like everything here. It’s not necessary to talk about the level of the English Premier League so at present, I want to stay here.” pic.twitter.com/pdB1xn3wh3

Don’t see people’s problem with this guy, he’s severely underrated and just been unlucky with some injuries. Lethal left foot and very important to the squad IMO

What should David Moyes do with Andriy Yarmolenko in the summer?Sell himLoan himKeep him |
This season, though, the 30-year-old attacker, who is valued at £10.8 million (Transfermarkt), has been the tenth-worst performer for the Irons in the Premier League with a 6.54/10 average rating (per WhoScored).
So, while some supporters were pleased to hear the Ukrainian restate his loyalty to West Ham, other fans were more critical of the forward.
I bet he wants to stay…on that contract

What do we think?
As can be judged from the responses, it seems that West Ham supporters are divided over the 30-year-old’s future, with some keen for Yarmolenko to stay and others keen for a sale.
However, having missed a large portion of the season so far through injury (per Transfermarkt) and only bagging three goals and one assist in the 15 games he has featured in (per Transfermarkt), the Ukrainian may not be worth keeping around.
