Fans of West Ham United have been taking to social media to air their disappointment in the club’s French striker Sebastien Haller.
On Monday, @westham_gossip posed the question to supporters to discuss if the forward had been worth the £45 million transfer fee, which many felt that he had not.

Uninspiring and doesn’t fit with the players we have. Need to sign players and play a way that we can get the best out of him. Or sell him. £45m? An expensive flop so far.

He may well be talented & we haven’t seen it, but in a difficult season, he’s been lazy, his work rate has been poor & often looked disinterested. 5 out of 10 max. With Bowen & Antonio I’d expect much more, but given attitude issues, if we could get our money back, I’d take it.

Too slow for this league, can’t see how West Ham can justify £45 million for a player to flick on high balls

Would you be looking to sell Sebastien Haller in the next transfer window if you were David Moyes? No, he needs time and the right systemYes, he is just not good enough for us |
As mentioned, it took £45 million to seal the Frenchman’s arrival at the London Stadium in a switch from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt last summer (per BBC).
Since then, Haller has been the Hammers’ best-performing player in the Premier League with a 7.21/10 average rating (per WhoScored), however, many fans were still unimpressed.
He’s not a West Ham player

Terrible

5/10 maybe in a top side he’d be class but he has no work rate and looks lazy at times. Hopefully we can offload him in the summer, won’t get close to 45 million for him tho.

Dreadful. Ship him off to the french second division

What do we think?
It is clear to see from these responses that many West Ham supporters are not sitting on the fence with their opinions on the £40.5 million-rated player (per Transfermarkt), with some hoping that he is sold in the next transfer window.
Having been the Irons’ top scorer in the Premier League so far this season (per WhoScored), though, it is clear that he has had a relatively positive impact for David Moyes’ side.
