Spurs fans have been reacting to the reported news that the North London club are expected to move early to beat Liverpool to the signing of Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell.
According to Football Insider (via Ricky Sacks), Spurs have been tracking the midfielder for some time and Jose Mourinho is ready to ramp up their efforts to sign the England U21 international. So far this season, the 22-year-old has contributed six goals and two assists in the Premier League and recently impressed in Spurs’ FA Cup defeat to Norwich; earning a 7.07 rating for his performance.
With Norwich staring relegation in the face, it is no surprise to see several Premier League sides taking an interest in Cantwell; who is their second top-scorer behind Teemu Pukki this campaign. The 22-year-old is currently valued at £19.8 million by Transfermarkt, so it could represent a fairly expensive transfer should Spurs bring him to North London in the summer transfer window.

These Spurs fans would clearly love to see their club sign Cantwell during the summer transfer window.
What do we think?
Cantwell has only averaged a 6.71 rating in the Premier League this season, which is the seventh-best in the Norwich squad. Spurs are also arguably well-stocked in the attacking-midfield position, with the likes of Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso capable of playing there, so perhaps Cantwell wouldn’t be the best signing.
