Spurs fans have been reacting to the reported news that Jose Mourinho’s summer transfer budget could be seriously depleted if the North London side fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
According to Daily Express Sport (via Ricky Sacks), Mourinho may be forced to delve into the free transfer market during the summer, with Levy unlikely to provide him with a large transfer budget if they fail to earn a Champions League spot. The North London club have endured a disappointing season so far, having been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, FA Cup, and Champions League fairly early on, and the Lilywhites currently sit eighth in the Premier League.
Therefore, unless we see a big turnaround from the North London club when the Premier League does resume from its current suspension, it seems unlikely that Mourinho will be given the necessary funds to overhaul his squad.
Do Spurs need a rebuild in the summer?

Levy just being Levy

Perfect levy logic. Fail to qualify for Champions league because of his failure to invest in the squad; so to get back into the champions league he will fail to invest properly again

Jose got Levy’d.

Spurs are already a sinking ship, Levy patching the team with free old rust parts, we are already within touch the bottom of the ocean, need expensive replacement parts to keep the ship sailing.

They need to sell up, keeping this club back.

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too happy with the news emerging on Levy’s plans for the summer transfer window.
What do we think?
Arguably poor investment during last year’s summer is arguably a factor in Spurs’ poor season, with big-money signing Tanguy Ndombele having failed to impress so far. It seems strange therefore that Levy is reportedly unwilling to back Mourinho when a rebuild looks to be necessary if they are to have a better season next year.
