Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that they are reportedly interested in signing Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana in the summer transfer window.
According to Goal (via Ricky Sacks), the North London club remain in the race to sign the Cameroonian goalkeeper this summer. Spurs’ most recent game against RB Leipzig highlighted the limitations of 32-year-old Hugo Lloris, with the Frenchman arguably at fault for both of Marcel Sabitzer’s goals.
The World-Cup winning ‘keeper spent 21 games out injured earlier in the season and his back-up Paulo Gazzaniga struggled in his absence; averaging a 6.65 rating for his performances in the Premier League. It is no surprise, therefore, to see Spurs being linked with 23-year-old Onana; who has averaged a 6.74 rating in the Eredivisie and an impressive 7.18 rating in the Champions League.
Who would you rather have in goal next season?
Onana
Lloris

Got to much of a Heurelho Gomes about him. Moments of pure genius mixed in with crazy howlers. Would prefer someone a but more solid and reliable. Nick Pope for instance

He lost Ajax the semi ball was like a bar of soap. Didn’t think much of him. Go for the RB Leipzig keeper

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too keen on the potential signing of Onana in the summer transfer window.
What do we think?
Onana is young and has plenty of Champions League experience but is currently valued at £40.5 million by Transfermarkt, so he could prove to be an expensive signing should Jose Mourinho convince him to make the move to North London this summer.
