Spurs fans have been reacting to reports that have suggested Jose Mourinho believes Tanguy Ndombele won’t turn his career around with the North London club.
A report from French news outlet Foot Mercato (via Talking THFC), suggests that Mourinho does not have faith that the 23-year-old will come good, but Daniel Levy is still convinced that the club’s record signing will soon start to perform. The French international has struggled to make much of an impression since joining from Lyon in the summer, but performances in the Champions League; where he has averaged an impressive 7.34 rating, suggests that he certainly has the ability.
Unfortunately for Spurs, his talent has seemingly not been matched by his willingness to get match fit, with his perceived lack of fitness a prevailing issue throughout his brief career with the North London club. So far this season, he has managed 90 minutes on just five occasions, the last of which came in a 2-2 draw against Norwich in December 2019.
Who do you agree with?
Mourinho
Levy
Reaction from Spurs fans to the news on Ndombele can be seen in the tweets below.
Mourinho will be sacked next season letting him sell our best player would be dumb

I reckon he wouldn’t play for Mourinho now. If he stays he will go through the motions and Mourinho knows that. Hope I am wrong because there is a player in there.

Very frustrating that a player with so much talent and potential is not performing as he should! I understand he has had injuries but his mental state is not there, He needs to use this football break to get his head and physical side in tune and show he really wants to play.

These Spurs fans seem split between blaming Mourinho and blaming Ndombele for the Frenchman’s current predicament, but most seem to agree that they shouldn’t sell the £58.5 million rated man.
What do we think?
Ndombele certainly has some issues to work on and perhaps the Premier League being suspended will give him the chance to get fit and prove to Mourinho that he deserves to be in the starting eleven when football does resume.
