Spurs fans have been reacting to footage of Eric Dier confronting a fan in the stands following the FA Cup exit against Norwich City on Wednesday night.
A post from The Spurs Web shows the 26-year-old climbing into the stands in order to confront a fan, who reportedly was involved in an altercation with Dier’s brother. The England international scored Spurs’ first penalty of the evening but misses from Erik Lamela, Troy Parrott and Gedson Fernandes condemned the North London club to an early cup exit.
The former Sporting Lisbon man may well be retrospectively disciplined for his actions on Wednesday evening, although Jose Mourinho has admitted that he wouldn’t agree with the club if they also decide to discipline him. Dier was one of Spurs’ better performers on Wednesday evening; earning a 7.5 rating, but it seems as if his post-match actions have overshadowed what was an impressive display.

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too impressed with Dier’s actions following the penalty defeat, with some suggesting that they could have serious repercussions on his career.
What do we think?
Without knowing all the details it is difficult to pass judgement on the 26-year-old’s actions but it will be interesting to see the extent of his punishment from the FA should he receive one.
