Liverpool fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest injury update surrounding club captain Jordan Henderson.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by Reds journalist James Pearce on Henderson’s injury, while @AnfieldEdition shared a Daily Star article which also relayed Pearce’s words.
Have Liverpool missed Jordan Henderson?
Yes
No
In a Q&A on The Athletic, Pearce revealed that the midfielder is “stepping up his rehab at Melwood” in an effort to speed up his recovery after suffering a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid last month.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

Getting him back for a game vs Atletico would be a huge boost

Hendo is so underrated. Great player. If he was named Jordano he would be worth £75mil more on the world transfer market.

Now that Pearce has revealed how Henderson has been stepping up his recovery from injury recently, this has excited a lot of Liverpool fans on Twitter.

One fan even described it as a ‘massive boost’. In Liverpool’s three matches since the defeat in Madrid, Jurgen Klopp’s side have been without their Englishman in midfield and have lost two out of the three games (per WhoScored). Before suffering his injury, Henderson had earned himself a season rating of 7.2 across his 25 league appearances for the Merseyside club and has the joint-highest tackles-per-game average (2.2) in the side in the Premier League, with his absence possibly leading to the Reds conceding seven goals in three games.
And, the fans aren’t the only ones who have high praise for the midfielder, as Fabinho also recently stated how Liverpool will miss the Englishman’s influence.
Massive boost if we can get him back midfield looks lost without him in there
