Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that their club are interested in signing Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell during the summer transfer window, but could face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United.

According to Times Sport (via Daily Hotspur), the North London club are keen on signing the England international and Brendan Rodgers’ side have already begun to compile a list of potential replacements. The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for the Foxes so far this season; averaging a 6.97 rating for his performances in the Premier League.

The defender who has 11 caps for England could prove to be an excellent long-term replacement for Danny Rose, who was sent out on loan to Newcastle United in January and looks surplus to requirements in Jose Mourinho’s side. However, Chilwell is currently valued at £45 million by transfermarkt, so it would be an expensive transfer for Daniel Levy should he convince the Leicester man to make the move to North London.

Who holds the record of having scored the quickest goal in Premier League history?

These Spurs fans clearly don’t want their club to sign Chilwell in the summer transfer window.

What do we think?

Chilwell has been a mainstay in the Leicester side that have impressed so far this season and if the Foxes does finish in the top-four spots it would be a surprise to see him leave a Champions League outfit to join a Spurs side currently looking unlikely to earn a place in the Champions League.
