Spurs fans have been reacting to some footage of Mousa Dembele from his time at AZ Alkmaar.
The footage, which was shared with Spurs fans on Twitter via The Spurs Web, shows the midfielder twisting and turning his way past several defenders before finishing past the goalkeeper. His performances in the Eredivisie earned him a move to Fulham in 2010 before he joined Spurs two years later.
In his time with the North London club, the Belgian international made 249 appearances; scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists. Eventually, injuries would take their toll on his career and he left the Lilywhites to join Chinese side Guangzhou R & F in January 2019.

So surprised we managed to hold on to him for so long, such a shame injury ruined his full potential 🙁

These Spurs fans clearly rated Dembele highly, with one fan suggesting that his departure was the beginning of the end for Mauricio Pochettino, who was sacked in November.
What do we think?
Dembele is still clearly well thought of amongst Spurs fans and it’s a shame that injuries seemed to lead to his career in the Premier League ending sooner than was perhaps anticipated.
