Spurs fans have been discussing a post from Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold, in which he addresses some of the transfer rumours surrounding Harry Kane.
He tweeted out his article on the situation after the 26-year-old was linked with sides such as Juventus and Manchester United in recent weeks. The England international has been out injured since early January but can still boast to have scored 17 goals in all competitions for the North London club so far this season.
Gold suggests (via Football.london) that “if the notion to sell Kane was ever entertained at Tottenham it would, like the Gareth Bale move, involve a world record fee.”
He also claims that: “The forward has always said that his dream is to achieve everything he can with the club he grew up at, but added the caveat that he was happy as long as Spurs were matching his ambitions.” With Spurs now out of the Champions League and looking unlikely at this point to secure a top-four spot, perhaps his ambitions are no longer being met by his boyhood club.
Do you think Kane will leave this summer?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to Gold’s article on Kane can be seen in the tweets below.
He will go abroad this summer. He needs to be in a slow paced league, where he is less likely to get injured and win trophies. Wish him all the best, he will be missed but Levy will ruin his career with Spurs.

Can’t blame him if he leaves.

Mourinho will quit if he is sold. When does his contract run out? Surely he will not leave before the Euros2021 🙂

Too many injuries for big clubs and big spending. He has done enough to have a credible career in football beyond his playing days to become a legend in Tottenham Hotspur and England.Staying put would be his best option long term

That’s what worries me , if he stays can only see one more season at best will want medals to show for his career.

These Spurs fans seem to be split in believing that Kane will stay or thinking that he will leave the club this summer.
What do we think?
Everything is still up in the air as to whether the season will finish and how it will be decided, but if it does emerge that Spurs won’t be playing Champions League football next season, you wouldn’t blame Kane for wanting to leave. However, with the forward currently valued at £135 million by Transfermarkt, as Gold suggests, it will surely take a huge bid to see him leave the North London club.
