Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold conducted a Q and A session with Spurs fans on Twitter this week, in which he discussed the latest on Heung-Min Son’s injury.

The South Korean winger fractured his arm in the 3-2 win against Aston Villa in February, with Jose Mourinho later suggesting that he could miss the rest of the season with the injury. However, with the season currently suspended, perhaps we could see the former Bayer Leverkusen man back in action, should the Premier League actually resume.

How well do you remember Spurs' run to the Champions League final last season? - Which of these teams weren't in Spurs' group?

In his article, Gold was asked when the 27-year-old could return, to which he replied:

“Son returned to the UK last week from South Korea and after remaining away from the training ground initially as part of his self-isolation, he was due to begin his rehabilitation at Hotspur Way at the beginning of this week. Then it’s a case of the club working out whether he can wear a soft cast on his arm and then how quickly he can get back into action (when that actually happens).” – per Football.London (Live blog, 17:16, 17/03/2020)

Do you think Son could have a big part to play if the Premier League does resume this season?

TIF Tactics:

Son is Spurs’ second top goalscorer this season behind Harry Kane; having contributed nine goals in the Premier League, which demonstrates just how important he is in Mourinho’s side. Since signing from Leverkusen in 2015, the South Korean winger has gone on to make 220 appearances for the Lilywhites; scoring 83 goals and providing 44 assists.

If the Premier League does resume and Spurs have the £72-million rated man back fit, then perhaps they will be able to mount a late challenge for the top-four spots.
