Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold decided to do a Q&A session with Spurs fans in the absence of Premier League football last weekend.

In the Q&A, he took a question from one Spurs fan on Facebook who asked whether ENIC was looking to sell the club.

Gold responded (via Football.london): “Daniel Levy says no. At the meeting with the Supporters’ Trust this month he made it clear that there was “no intention” to sell.

“The minutes of the meeting said: ‘Daniel Levy responded that the expectation was that income reinvestment would grow the equity value but that there was no intention to sell and that no valuation had been made of the equity value.'”

Having become majority shareholders at the club back in 2000, the ENIC group have helped to transform the North London club in their 20 years with the Lilywhites. The club can arguably now boast to have some of the best stadiums and training facilities in world football, with Jose Mourinho suggesting that they were the best he has worked at in his illustrious managerial career, which has seen him manage the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter.

It is no surprise therefore that Levy is unwilling to sell the club at this time, with the North London club were recently named as the eighth-richest team in the Deloitte Football Money League. However, financial success certainly hasn’t been matched with success on the pitch this season, with Mauricio Pochettino sacked in November, whilst Jose Mourinho has since seen his side knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League, as currently occupy eighth place in the Premier League.
