Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that Real Madrid are reportedly planning a bid for Davinson Sanchez in the summer transfer window.

Citing uncredited reports in Spain, Sports Mole has claimed that Real Madrid are considering an offer for the Colombian international in the summer transfer window. The former Ajax man is currently valued at £54 million by Transfermarkt and has a contract until the summer of 2024, so it would presumably take a huge bid from Zinedine Zidane’s side to see him leave the North London club.

Since joining from Ajax in 2017 for a club-record fee, the 23-year-old has gone on to make 110 appearances for the Lilywhites, contributing just one goal. The centre-back has made 22 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, averaging a solid 6.74 rating for his performances, thought that puts him behind the likes of Japhet Tanganga, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld in that department across the Premier League season so far.

Would you let Davinson Sanchez leave in the summer?

Reaction from Spurs fans to the reported news on Sanchez can be seen in the tweets below.

One fan even claimed that Christian Eriksen is fuming, which may relate to the fact that his move to Real Madrid reportedly fell through back in the summer of last year.

One fan even suggested that Daniel Levy will be smiling, which is understandable with a European giant like Real Madrid potentially considering making an offer. And, a potential fee for Sanchez could then be spent on a replacement, which would mean he may not have to spend much of the club’s current money, which will could satisfy him and his reluctance to spend money.

How well do you remember Spurs' run to the Champions League final last season? - Which of these teams weren't in Spurs' group?

These Spurs fans clearly seem to think that the club should sell Sanchez if Real Madrid do make a good offer for the defender.

What do we think?

Considering Jan Vertonghen appears set to leave in the summer with his contract expiring, Spurs should perhaps be looking to build their defence around Sanchez, especially as he is still only 23 years old and has plenty of time to improve.
