Some Southampton fans have been talking about an image of the club’s logo that has gone viral on social media.
Saints-related page SaintsNews&Views relayed an image on Twitter of a Southampton logo that had the Red Bull imprint on it. It said that the image was sent by someone from ‘inside the club’ and asked other Saints fans to give their opinions about it.
It got many Southampton fans talking.
Can Red Bull takeoever Southampton at any point?
No chance at all
I think so
Many of them were happy to see it and want Red Bull to take over the club. Others weren’t happy with the logo. They don’t think a takeover will happen.
This badge looks like a school kid put it together. If they were to redesign it, it wouldn’t look like this monstrosity. What a load of rubbish

I would take it. The Red Bull model works.

I’m trying not to get excited until there’s solid proof

That looks awful!! Never going to happen anyway!!

It’s not going to happen. Knowing our luck with owners (Excluding Markus Liebherr) we will get the tightest billionaire ever or Gao isn’t even thinking about selling and we are getting carried away with rumours. Until something concrete happens we can all dream. ???

One of our former employees Paul Mitchell works for them now. He was on 5live earlier. Have to say their model looks like it works, just ask Spurs

What do we think?
Duncan Castles recently reported for The Sunday Times that the club has been put up for sale for an asking price of about £250 million. There have been no concrete suggestions as yet that Southampton are in line for a potential Red Bull takeover.
That could mean that this image might just be pure speculation and only social media gossip, considering Ralph Hasenhuttl is a former RB Leipzig boss himself. That link at the club could be making people think about a potential RB takeover at some point in the future.
