Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting on social media to a post by Valentino Lazaro, in which the 23-year-old reflects on the Magpies’ 3-2 FA Cup victory over West Brom on Tuesday night.
Lazaro, who signed for Newcastle on a loan deal from Inter Milan in January, has made four appearances in all competitions for the Magpies so far this season, scoring one goal.
The £17.1million-rated right midfielder’s solitary goal was the crucial third in Newcastle’s 3-2 victory over West Brom in the FA Cup on Tuesday evening, sending the Magpies into the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 2006.
Following the match, Lazaro was apparently delighted with his contribution in the match, tweeting: “Next round. First GOOOAAAL. YES SIR! Come on @NUFC!”
Similarly, fans of Newcastle United were also overjoyed with the Austrian international’s goal, with many praising the 23-year-old’s performance, while others questioned whether Lazaro could be staying on a permanent basis at the club.

What do we think?
Having received a red card in the 90th minute of Newcastle’s 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last month, Lazaro will miss the Magpies’ next two fixtures, having already served one game of his three-match suspension against Burnley last weekend.
Despite this, Newcastle fans appear delighted with the 23-year-old’s contributions during his limited time at the club, as is evident from those hoping for Lazaro to make his loan deal a permanent one this summer.
