A lot of Newcastle United fans have rushed to comment on a post from Jetro Willems – after reports emerged that he would be out for nine months.
The report that originated in BILD claimed that Willems’ potential move to the Toon was in jeopardy, but the 25-year-old has moved to dismiss this with a tweet.
Willems said, ‘the media always says a lot’ and that they ‘are not aware of the process.’
The tweet also said that he trusts the professionals and is working with them.
Is this a positive update from Willems?
Yes
No, it doesn't really prove anything
This tweet has gone down well with these Toon fans who hope to have Willems back at St James’ Park next season.
the media always says allot. Also about my rehabilitation, but by people who are not aware of my process. I let myself be guided in this by professionals who I trust. I work with them in full focus and on schedule.

What do we think?
The 25-year-old is currently recovering from an ACL injury, but he promised that he would play for the Toon again, and though this report made that look unlikely – this tweet seems to suggest that Willems is recovering.
Before his injury, Willems made 19 Premier League appearances for Newcastle and scored two goals and provided two assists.
Judging by the replies to this tweet, we think that many Toon fans want to see Willems back on Tyneside next season.
