Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane could turn down a potential summer move to either Manchester City or Manchester United in favour of a move to Juventus.

Kane, who is an academy graduate of Tottenham, had been in fine form for Spurs this season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions before suffering a season-threatening injury on New Year’s Day.

The £135 million-rated forward had averaged an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.30 in his Premier League fixtures prior to his injury, in addition to a remarkable 8.08 match rating in the Champions League, in which the 26-year-old had scored six goals in five appearances.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are both interested in a summer move for the Tottenham man, according to 90Min. However, according to recent reports by Italian sports paper Tuttosport, Juventus have also joined the race for Kane’s signature.

In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by City Chief on Twitter, fans of Manchester City have been reacting relatively positively, with many claiming that they would rather see their club not sign Kane this summer.

What do we think?

Although City fans would apparently rather not see their club pursue Harry Kane this summer, it is difficult to argue that he would not be a success at the club, seeing as the striker has returned a remarkable 181 goals in his 278 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, in addition to 32 goals in 45 fixtures for the England national side.
