Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Leroy Sane is growing impatient with the slow pace of negotiations over a new contract at Man City.

Sane, who joined Manchester City from FC Schalke 04 in 2016, has been absent from the Man City first team for the majority of the 2019/20 after sustaining an ACL injury in City’s Community Shield victory over Liverpool back in August.

However, last season, the 24-year-old was one of City’s best performers, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists over his 31 Premier League appearances, as well as a further four goals and assists apiece in eight Champions League fixtures.

The £90 million-rated left-winger averaged an impressive 7.26 WhoScored match rating throughout the league last term, and an even more impressive 7.52 in the Champions League, leading to German giants Bayern Munich reportedly offering Manchester City £70.7 million for Sane, which City rejected.

However, according to recent reports by Sky Sport News HD, Sane is growing frustrated at the slow negotiations of a new contract at City, apparently leaving the door open for a summer move to Bayern.

In reaction to the news, Man City fans have taken to Twitter, with many claiming that they should sell the 24-year-old, while others claim that they have simply had enough of the Sane transfer saga.

City broke the all-time points record in the 17/18 Premier League season, but how many points did the champions finish that season on?

What do we think?

With Manchester City’s impending European football ban, it would not be surprising for a few City players to want out this summer.

It could be argued that Sane is a player particularly close to the exit door, with previous interest from Bayern Munich still lingering around the 24-year-old.
