Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter which confirms the refereeing appointments for City’s fixture against Arsenal on Wednesday, with Jonathan Moss set to take charge at the Etihad Stadium.
City, who currently occupy second place in the Premier League, face the Gunners with the aim of reinstating a seven-point gap between them and third-placed Leicester, who beat Aston Villa 4-0 on Monday evening.
However, as the Citizens currently trail first-placed Liverpool by a massive 25 points, Pep Guardiola will have to hope that the Merseyside club monumentally slip up over the Premier League run-in should they have any chance of retaining their title this season.
Although it appears extremely unlikely that City can catch Liverpool with just 10 fixtures remaining of their season, they must ensure that they remain professional in the league as to ensure they cement their place in the top four, and they will take a big step towards doing so against Arsenal tomorrow evening.
It has recently been confirmed that Moss will officiate the fixture, with Lee Mason as the fourth official and Michael Oliver as the VAR official, something which City fans have been reacting to on Twitter, with many stating their dismay at the appointments.

It’s like the 7 steps to hell. What price can I get on an Arsenal win and a City player getting sent off

What do we think?
Given the distance between Liverpool and City in the league, it could be argued that City’s focus will have switched to the Champions League, in which they face Real Madrid in the second leg of their last-16 tie next week, having defeated the Spanish giants 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu last month.
