The Croatian international has certainly impressed for Marseille this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist from his 23 Ligue 1 appearances, while averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.80.
According to 90min.com, City are targeting two centre-backs this summer, with Aymeric Laporte the only member of the current squad who is safe, with the club looking for a big name to partner the Frenchman as well as a third-choice option to provide squad depth.
If the reports are to be believed, then the £22.5million-rated centre-back could very well be one of the new arrivals at City over the summer.
