Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the latest reported news surrounding the coronavirus and its effect on the Premier League.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in The Times that “all football matches in England will be played behind closed doors under government plans to combat coronavirus.”
Which would you prefer happen?
Games played behind closed doors
Games postponed for a later date
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this news.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

A handful of games around Europe have recently been played behind closed doors in an effort to combat the virus. Now that it has been suggested that the remaining Premier League games of the season could be played behind closed doors, this has attracted a lot of attention from Liverpool fans who were eager to have their say on the matter.
We will still have a parade, title celebrations and everything. It’s a matter of when not if we have them

This is awful news but completely understandable.
Presumably the gov are now going to start banning flights coming into the country, closing tourist sites and shutting down the tube in London as well?
— Samy (@sazzam31) March 12, 2020
Absolute waste of time what is that going to stop?

What do we think?
The fact that this idea has been suggested and could become true, this shows just how serious the footballing authorities and the government are taking this virus.
