The 33-year-old had a mixed evening at Stamford Bridge after failing to save Willian’s direct shot to open the scoring for the Blues early on, but managed to redeem himself with a stunning save to deny Olivier Giroud a goal in the second half (per BBC Sport). This performance resulted in Adrian picking up a match rating of 5.63, the joint second-lowest rating for a Liverpool player (per WhoScored). What do we think?
Of course, it’s understandable that some fans have taken a negative approach after witnessing Chelsea’s first goal, but mistakes happen in football. However, Adrian is correct – the most important thing now is how Jurgen Klopp’s side react after this latest defeat.
