Liverpool’s CEO Peter Moore has been on Twitter urging the local supermarkets to call upon the club’s stewards for assistance and to make use of their expertise in crowd control. The 65-year-old previously held positions at Reebok, Sega and Microsoft before being appointed to his current role at Anfield in February 2017.
Here is how some of the club’s supporters have reacted to the post.

What do we think?
Based on the replies, it’s clear that the fans are fully behind this idea and during these difficult times it’s great to see the club looking for ways to support their local community. It was reported last week that Liverpool will continue to pay their casual matchday workers despite the season being suspended until at the earliest, 30 April.
The Reds haven’t played since their UEFA Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid and have been unable to fulfil fixtures versus Everton and Crystal Palace to date.
