Liverpool fans on Twitter have been drooling over a recently posted image of Virgil van Dijk alongside former Red defender Sami Hyypia.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @empireofthekop shared the image on their page asking their followers if they could imagine the pair playing together for the club.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on the duo.

Hyypia spent 10 years at the Merseyside club before leaving for Bayer Leverkusen in 2009. During those 10 years, Hyypia made 464 appearances for the club, scoring 35 goals and providing four assists (per Transfermarkt). Now that this image of the defender standing with Van Dijk has surfaced on Twitter, this has paved the way for lots of Liverpool fans to gush over their former man.

It’s nice to see these Liverpool fans showing their love and appreciation for Hyypia despite him leaving the club over a decade ago. This shows that he is still well-liked by the fans across the Red half of Merseyside.
