Liverpool fans have been fuming on Twitter over the latest news surrounding midfielder Naby Keita.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @JackSear shared a post on their official page revealing that Keita was not chosen for the Reds’ squad for their 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, despite not being injured.
Should Liverpool sell Naby Keita this summer?
Yes, he's too unreliable
No, he's still useful
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were not happy with this latest news.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
No injury issue for Keita, apparently. Just not involved. Not too surprised. Two senior players were always going to be left out of the 18 tonight. Keita hasn’t had any minutes since returning from injury last week. https://t.co/dHuoeOF4lP

Keita with one leg and crutches would still be more useful from the bench than Lallana

If KLOPP reluctant to use him, then sell him please, don’t waste the players’ time!!!

Have to sell him in the summer. He has no purpose now. Always injured. Unfit and can’t last 90 minutes. Klopp doesn’t trust him and quite frankly he has been disappointing when he has actually played (especially considering he cost £60m). Cut our losses on him if we can sell?

The midfielder has struggled with injuries in the first half of the season but there was nothing to suggest that an injury was stopping Keita from being available from taking part in the Reds’ recent Champions League defeat. As this news started to make its way around Twitter, many Liverpool fans took the time to share their frustrations with Keita’s omission from the squad.
He is a waste of space

henderson has been our starter for how long? he was only out for a 2-3 weeks. he hasn’t lost his fitness in that time.

What do we think?
It seems from these replies that some Liverpool fans are laying the blame with Jurgen Klopp for leaving Keita out of the team whereas others have simply had enough of Keita himself. At least there have been no fresh injury worries for the midfield man.
