Liverpool fans have been going wild on Twitter over the latest injury update surrounding midfielder Jordan Henderson.
This comes after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post on their page revealing that the Englishman has “resumed full training and could come into contention” for their Champions League clash with Atlético Madrid this week.
Should Henderson start against Atletico?
Yes, we need him
No, don't rush him back
This news was confirmed in Jurgen Klopp’s recent press conference ahead of the second leg round of 16 tie at Anfield.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were overjoyed with this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

This guy scares me. I think if we rush he back he will cost us the game. He hasn’t got pace and he does give the ball away easily. I know everyone is in love with him. If you truly love him like I do. I just have to state facts. Does who love do tell the truth.

He has to play

The midfielder picked up a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s first leg clash against the Spanish side last month that saw the Reds fall to a 1-0 defeat in Madrid. Now as the second leg approaches, the news of Henderson’s return from injury has been a very welcome bit of news for the fans, who couldn’t hide their delight on Twitter after the news was announced.

The amount of criticism this lad has got through the years and now finally people can see how important he is to the team.

What do we think?
Since that first-leg defeat in Madrid, Liverpool lost two of the four games played in Henderson’s absence (per WhoScored). The replies from the club’s post on Henderson’s return from injury just goes to show how missed the 29-year-old has been in the squad.
