A group of Liverpool fans have named Leeds United defender Ben White as a realistic replacement for Dejan Lovren should the Croatian defender leave Anfield this summer. The question was put to the supporters on Twitter by @LFCTransferRoom.

Here is what some of the Anfield faithful had to say and there was one name in particular that kept coming up.

How many goals has Mohamed Salah scored in all competitions this season?

What do we think?

Lovren wanted to leave Anfield last summer but the move was blocked, a decision that left the 30-year-old unhappy but one which he understood (according to the Daily Mail). Therefore, you could be forgiven for thinking he will be allowed to move on at the end of this current campaign.

White has been mentioned by these supporters as somebody who could potentially replace the former Southampton man. The 22-year-old has started all of Leeds United’s games in the Championship this season and is yet to miss a single minute of league football for Marcelo Bielsa’s side (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).

He’s currently on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion but Jurgen Klopp has been tipped to make a move for the central-defender this summer, however, it remains it to be seen whether his parent club will even consider letting him go. Add Leeds to the mix, with the Whites potentially looking to try and secure White on a permanent deal, and it could be a complicated summer for the young man.
