Liverpool fans have been discussing a potential transfer move for Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page calling Partey “one heck of a player” before asking their followers if they would like to see the midfielder at Anfield next season.
Would Thomas Partey be a good buy for Liverpool?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who did not share the same sentiments on the midfielder.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans not wanting the club to sign Partey:
This one heck of a player, he shone yesterday against us.
Would you like to have him next season? ?? https://t.co/R7QnhQOR1v

The 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £45 million according to Transfermarkt, played the full 120 minutes in Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Atletico in their midweek Champions League game. Partey’s performance in the game earned him a match rating of 7.9 making him one of the highest-rated performers in the game for Diego Simone’s side. Now that the question has been asked on whether or not the Reds should make a move for Partey in the upcoming summer transfer window, this has gathered a lot of attention from Liverpool fans.

What do we think?
Despite a good performance at Anfield in midweek, it appears that it wasn’t enough to convince these Liverpool fans that Partey would be a good fit at the club next season. According to WhoScored, Partey’s weaknesses include his concentration and discipline which could be a problem for Jurgen Klopp if he were to make the move to Anfield in the future.
