The 30-year-old former Manchester City man last featured for the Toffees on 23rd February in the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium (as per Transfermarkt).

Over the duration of the season so far, Delph has featured in just 16 Premier League clashes during which he has neither scored nor assisted (per Transfermarkt), leaving supporters not keen on his return.

What do we think?

With Delph only boasting a 6.49/10 in the Premier League when he has featured for the Toffees this season, leaving him as the tenth-worst performer in the squad (per WhoScored), perhaps supporters’ reaction is not unexpected.

It is clear from the response, though, that fans do not feel that Delph’s return ahead of the Merseyside derby is going to have too much of a positive impact.
