Supporters of Everton have been left gutted with a transfer admission from the club’s on-loan full-back, Djibril Sidibe.
In an interview with RMC Sport, the Frenchman admitted that “all the lights are at green” over a permanent switch from AS Monaco to the Toffees (per Everton News Feed), which some supporters were not happy with.
??”The leaders of Monaco know my position and I know theirs. Ditto on the side of Everton, I know the position of the coach. As far as I'm concerned, all the lights are at green." – Djibril Sidibe on potentially staying at Everton

When considering that Djibril Sidibe has made the most tackles and interceptions in the squad per league game, is his defensive liability a myth?Yes, it's completely made upNo, the stats are lying to you |
The Merseyside club signed the 27-year-old in the summer on a season-long loan with an option to purchase from the Ligue 1 club (per BBC), with the reported figure for the transfer set around the £12.7-million mark (per Liverpool Echo).
However, despite the Frenchman having been the third-best performer in the Toffees’ squad in the Premier League this season, with a 7.01/10 average rating (per WhoScored), supporters were still not keen.
He’s not the answer at all

What do we think?
The response from Everton supporters seems incredibly conclusive, with many desperate for the club to not make Sidibe’s loan stay a permanent one despite his strong average rating in the league (per WhoScored).
However, the argument on his defensive capabilities seems baffling, with the defender having comfortably made more tackles per 90 minutes on average than any other player in the squad in the Premier League (per WhoScored).
This season, Sidibe has made 3.7 tackles and 1.8 interceptions per game in the league, both of which are the best in the squad. The next best tackler is Lucas Digne with 2.2 per game and the next best interceptor is Morgan Schneiderlin with 1.4 per 90 minutes.
