Fans of Everton have been discussing what would have happened had Tottenham Hotspur’s Jose Mourinho been appointed manager instead of Carlo Ancelotti.
Around the time of Marco Silva’s sacking at Goodison Park, Spurs’ manager was touted by some as a possible avenue (via The Express), however, Ancelotti was appointed (per BBC), which delighted supporters.
Jose would of been an absolute car crash at us wouldn't he? Thankfully we stayed clear

Reckon we’d still be in a relegation scrap

Never wanted him. Anti football. But in fairness he’s lost both Kane and son. If we lost both dcl and richy we’d be relying on bernard,Walcott and iwobi

Who would you rather have as Everton's manager currently?Carlo AncelottiJose Mourinho |
The discussion came after the Portuguese manager’s current London club crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday night after a 4-0 defeat to RB Leipzig on aggregate (per BBC).
Since his appointment by Spurs, Mourinho has overseen just 11 wins in 26 games (per Transfermarkt), leaving Everton supporters delighted to have swerved the former Real Madrid man.
100%. Said it from day one, he destroys the club

Spurs look like they’ve had the life sucked out of them

What do we think?
As can be judged from Mourinho’s record with Spurs so far of 11 wins, five draws and ten defeats in 26 matches (per Transfermarkt), it is clear to see that he is underperforming.
While Carlo Ancelotti’s five wins, three draw and four defeats in 11 games are not far and away better than Mourinho’s record (per Transfermarkt), supporters seem clear on who they would rather have at the helm.
