To kick off this quiz of the goings-on with the Toffees last week, which Serie A goalkeeper was linked with a switch to the club?

Are your memories of Alessandro Pistone positive or negative overall?

Negative, he was terrible

Negative, he was terrible

The former Internazionale and Newcastle United left-back spent seven years at Goodison Park, having arrived from the Toon in 2000 and departing on a free transfer in 2007 (per Transfermarkt).

During his time in Merseyside, the Italian featured in 113 appearances, during which he scored one and assisted zero (as per Transfermarkt), however, some supporters had slightly fonder memories.

What do we think?

Well, it is fair to say that very few supporters gave glowing reviews of their former left-back, with even the more positive comments not being entirely complimentary.

However, after only 113 appearances over seven seasons with the Merseyside club (per Transfermarkt), perhaps supporters are fair in their assessments of Pistone.
