Some Everton fans have been sharing negative reactions on social media in response to a tweet that was recently posted by Toffees-focused Twitter account @EvertonNewsFeed.
The Everton-focused Twitter account’s recent post shares footage which features some journalists discussing whether or not Liverpool should be awarded the 2019/20 Premier League title if the season is unable to recommence following the postponement of “the professional game in England” which was announced on Friday 13th March.
In this clip, Sky’s Dharmesh Sheth can be seen making the argument that since Liverpool are not officially the Premier League champions yet, they shouldn’t be awarded the Premier League title if the current season is unable to be completed. Meanwhile, Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol, Vicky Gomersall and Bryan Swanson can all be seen countering Sheth’s argument, with Solhekol claiming that “Liverpool have earned it“.
Some Everton supporters have been vexed by this recent footage, with Toffees fans taking Sheth’s side in this argument. Read the reactions of some Everton fans to this footage in the tweets below.
They can’t even let him make his point. What a mockery

They won’t allow him to make a valid point. An when he finally gets to make it they don’t know what to say

I found them very rude, they just wouldnt let him get his point across at all. Jumped in every second and tried to shoot him down. Ignorant. They dont agree that’s fine, at least let him talk though.

Darmesh is 100% right. Nothing is going to be fair but the priority should not be Liverpool football club. Nothing matters other than society at the moment. Write everything off and start again. No bodies fault. Just need some common sense and people to get priorities right.

What do we think?
Top-of-the-table Liverpool are currently 25 points clear of second-placed Manchester City in the Premier League table, with just nine games left for the Reds to play. Meanwhile, City have currently got 10 Premier League fixtures left to play this season.
While it may be fair to say that Liverpool are currently sitting in a very favourable position going into their final nine Premier League games, they are not yet completely mathematically clear of second-placed Manchester City, who can still potentially earn another 30 points from their final 10 games.
Despite this, if the 2019/20 campaign is unable to recommence, it may be unfair to crown Liverpool the champions considering that they have not yet officially won the league as it is ultimately impossible to know what would have transpired in Liverpool’s final nine games.
