Everton: Fans react to Richarlison image

|

Fans of Everton have been reacting on social media to Richarlison’s post, in which the forward posted a picture of himself and Dominic Calvert-Lewin celebrating the Toffees’ goal against Manchester United on Sunday.

Richarlison, who arrived at Everton from Watford in 2018, has been in fine form for the Toffees this season, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in his 26 Premier League appearances, as well as a further two goals and one assist in four League Cup matches.

The Brazilian has averaged a 7.35 WhoScored match rating in the league this season, and once again impressed in Everton’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday, registering four shots, one key pass, and completing four dribbles for the Toffees.

Following the match, the £54 million-rated 22-year-old further endeared himself to the Everton faithful by posting a picture of him and Dominic Calvert-Lewin celebrating the striker’s goal during the fixture.

In response, Everton fans flocked to the comments, with many complimenting the Brazilian on his performance, while others stated their excitement at the blossoming partnership between the two forwards.

What do we think?

Since Everton spent £35.28million on Richarlison in 2018, the 22-year-old has highly impressed, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists in the Premier League last season, in addition to his 10 so far this term.

With Transfermarkt currently valuing the Brazilian at £54 million, it would appear that Everton’s investment at the beginning of last season was an incredibly intelligent piece of business.
