Some Everton fans have been reacting on social media to footage that was recently posted by Everton’s official Twitter account, showing Duncan Ferguson practising some half-volleys on the training ground.

The clip that was posted by The Toffees’ official Twitter account was featured in a video that was recently posted by Everton’s official YouTube channel, which shared footage of a recent Everton training session.

Ferguson, who played as a striker for The Toffees during his playing career, became the club’s manager for a temporary period following the sacking of Marco Silva back in December. The 48-year-old Scot took charge of The Toffees for four games before Carlo Ancelotti was appointed the Everton boss, taking charge of his first game on the 26th of December.

Ferguson has remained a part of Everton’s coaching staff following the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti. Some Everton fans were impressed by Ferguson’s shooting technique in the footage that was recently posted to The Toffees’ official Twitter account. Who holds the record of having scored the quickest goal in Premier League history?

What do we think?

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Ferguson made a total of 253 competitive appearances for The Toffees in his playing career. Following his retirement as a player in 2006, Ferguson returned to Everton to begin his coaching career seven years ago, in 2013

The recent training footage posted by the Toffees’ official Twitter account shows that the 48-year-old still takes an active part in Everton’s training sessions. Given how much time the former striker has spent with The Toffees, it may not be too surprising to see him continue to take an active role in the club’s training sessions following after his short-lived stint as caretaker manager.
