Fans of Everton have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Everton is the most likely destination for Hirving Lozano – should the Mexican leave Napoli this summer.
Lozano, who arrived at Napoli from PSV Eindhoven in August, has so far struggled with the southern Italian club, scoring just two goals and providing one assist over his 16 Serie A appearances this season.
The £31.5 million-rated left-winger has averaged a disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.43 in the league, as well as a 6.55 rating over his six Champions League fixtures.
Due to his poor performances, Italian publication Il Mattino have reported that Napoli are willing to sell the 24-year-old, as long as they can recover most of the £34.2 million they paid for him last summer.
According to Il Mattino, Everton and West Ham are the front-runners to sign the Mexican international, with Everton being the most likely destination for the winger due to Carlo Ancelotti having already managed the player at Napoli.
In reaction to the reports, Everton fans have taken to Twitter, with many claiming that they would not welcome Lozano to their club, while others have claimed that the 24-year-old is overrated.

What do we think?
Lozano’s struggles this season have come as somewhat of a surprise considering the winger’s remarkable return of 17 goals and eight assists in his 30 Eredivisie appearances last year, while averaging an extremely impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.84.
If Ancelotti were to help the Mexican rediscover this kind of form, then the Everton faithful could well come to rue their scepticism over Lozano’s potential move by next season.
