Fans of Everton have aired that they do not want to see the club re-sign former defender John Stones from Manchester City.
As reported by TEAMtalk, the Toffees have an interest in the centre-back along with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, however, Stones would set the buyer back £60 million, which left supporters desperate for the former man to not return.

I’d rather have Gallstones.

We were entertaining the idea when we were desperate last summer, but no chance would we pay that sort of dough on him.

No thanks

If Everton could sign John Stones back for £40 million, would you want to see it happen? No, he's not worth that muchYes, that would be a solid deal |
During this season, Stones has delivered an uninspiring 6.68/10 average rating in the Premier League, leaving him as the sixth-worst performer in Pep Guardiola’s squad (per WhoScored).
When in comparison to Mason Holgate, Stones’ defending stats become a little exposed, with the City defender having made 1.2 tackles and 0.7 interceptions per league game on average, whereas Holgate has averaged 1.7 tackles and 1.1 interceptions.
Hahahaha £25m at best! And that’s pushing it

£60m? He’s arguably worse now than when they signed him for £40m.

No chance, wouldn’t have him for £6m!
we have enough liabilities as it is without starting again and bringing in anymore, He’s somehow even managed to go backwards since he left— KJ (@KJoszko) March 9, 2020
He’s Jack Rodwell v2.0
£10m tops and give him the aging Philip Lahm role, see how he does..— Rob Hardley (@roberthardley) March 9, 2020
I’d rather have Jonny Evans at the age he is over stones , not for me ??

Ridiculous story. A lot of “media” need to be ignored and their made up stories not shared.

What do we think?
As can be judged from the responses from many Everton supporters, it is clear that even for a fraction of the price that City reportedly want, they would not want Stones signed.
When considering his poor average rating in the league for City so far this season, though, that does not come as a great surprise as it is likely that £60 million could be spent better elsewhere by Carlo Ancelotti.
