Let’s be honest, he’s not a top player. He’s a decent squad player atm but come next season with everyone fit and maybe a new signing in CM, where does Davies fit in? He doesn’t does he. A loan to get games every week will do him the world of good imo

Problem with Davies is he goes from Roy Keane in one game to Roy Chubby Brown for the next 3….very hard to justify a run in the team when he’s in that form

I’ve never seen a player to give the ball away as much Tom Davies. Send him off to Germany with Kenny

Does Tom davies have the potential to be a good player or should he be shipped out?Good player, he has the potentialShipped out, won't be good enough |
Over the duration of this season, the 21-year-old has been the 15th-best performer in the Premier League for Carlo Ancelotti’s side with an average rating of 6.48/10 (per WhoScored).
With two goals and zero assists over 22 appearances in all competitions (per Transfermarkt), though, supporters continued to air that they were not convinced by Davies.
There’s things he needs to improve but the constant in/out team in left/right/centre/deep mid with 4 different managers (not including interim) plus a period under Silva where he never got a look in and probably should have been on loan hasn’t helped progress.
Always gives 100%.

He gives the ball away far to much and always looks a yard of the pace don’t know what to make of him anymore..He has ability but is very inconsistent hopefully Carlo can get the best out of him because he does give his all on the pitch..

Tom could perhaps concentrate on improving the accuracy of his passing and I often wonder whether he is inclined to panic in certain circumstances.

What do we think?
As can be judged from the responses, it is clear to see that Everton supporters believe that Davies does have the potential to be an important player, he just does not show it often enough.
With only six goals and six assists in 111 appearances for the Toffees’ first team (per Transfermarkt), too, his goal involvements record also could need some improvement.
