According to an article published by the Daily Mail earlier in the week, Allan Saint-Maximin, who is valued at £22.5 million (Transfermarkt), is being touted with a move away from St. James’ Park this summer. The article suggests that there has been a clash between manager Steve Bruce and the player.
The Daily Mail claims that both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace are monitoring the situation, and are interested in bringing the player to their respective clubs.
This news was shared on Twitter by CPFC News HQ, which, in turn, caught the attention of countless Palace fans. They were insistent that the club should attempt to sign the French winger.

Would you sign Allan Saint-Maximin for £16 million?
Yes
No
What do we think?
After signing for the Magpies at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, Saint-Maximin has scored just two goals and registered three assists in 20 games. Despite this underwhelming statistic, the Palace fans are clearly eager for their club to get the deal done.
However, with the player costing £16.2 million less than a year ago, chances are Palace won’t get him cheaply, especially since he has a contract with Newcastle until the end of the 2024/25 season.
