This week, Crystal Palace shared highlights of their #YourCPFCMatchday selection. The highlights were from Palace’s 4-0 win against Hull City back in May 2017.
The match saw Palace relegate Hull City from the Premier League, as well as secure top-flight football for themselves for the next season.
Wilfried Zaha capitalised on an early mistake from Hull to opening the scoring before Christian Benteke doubled the lead before half-time.
Luka Milivojevic scored a penalty for the third and Patrick van Aanholt made it four.
When the club posted footage of the highlights, fans reminisced about the match. Here is how some fans reacted to the post.

See how dangerous Benteke is when we put balls for him to attack too.

We turned up massively on a day that could have been disastrous.

Would Palace still be in the Championship if they were relegated in 2017?

What do we think?
Palace ended up finishing that season in 14th place, seven points ahead of 18th-placed Hull.
Since then, Hull haven’t made it out of the Championship, finishing 18th and 13th place in their last two seasons.
This season, Hull are on the brink of relegation, which could see them fall even deeper down the ranks of English football.
Hull’s fall from grace will provide added perspective to the Palace fans as they recall their 2017 survival. If they had faced relegation back in 2017, it could have been them fighting for their lives to stay in the Championship instead.
