Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the form of on-loan striker Scott Hogan.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @Total_Villa shared a post on their page revealing Hogan’s goals and assists record in his seven previous games for Birmingham City.
The page then asked their followers why they didn’t get to see Hogan in this good form for Villa.
Does Scott Hogan have a future at Villa?
Yes
No
This post then gathered several replies from Villa fans who were keen to share their thoughts on the striker.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
Scott Hogans last 7 league games for Blues:
Forest ??
Bristol ??
Barnsley ??
Brentford ?
Sheff Wed ?? ??
Millwall ?
QPR ????Why didn’t we see this Scott Hogan? This is the kind of form he was showing at Brentford & the form that had us all excited to sign him! ?? #avfc pic.twitter.com/KHQJL8ATUo

Because he’s playing championship football in a system that suits him. He’s never played well alone up front, always suited alongside another striker and he never got that with us.

Villa shirt was too heavy for him
Takes a certain mentality to.turn it on week in week out in front of 40k when (in the championship) you’re expected to win every game

Good luck to him we never gave him a chance ! I am surprised Dean never used him .

In his eight appearances for Birmingham since his arrival in January, Hogan has scored six goals and provided one assist. Whereas in his 61 appearances for Villa, Hogan only managed to score 10 goals and grab four assists (per Transfermarkt). Now that the question of Hogan’s Villa form has been asked, this has given plenty of Villa fans the opportunity to share their thoughts on the striker.

Simple, because of Steve Bruce.

No pressure at the blues. Similar to brentford, he can play freely without moans at every bad touch…. massive confidence player

What do we think?
Whatever the reason for Hogan’s poor form during his time at Villa, it’s good to see him thriving now at Birmingham. If he can continue on this good run of form, maybe he can earn his place back in the Villa squad for next season.
